Cerro das Mouras great choice is a wine produced in years of exceptional quality, having its design followed a selection of French oak barrels for blind tasting. A majority of the most exceptional Touriga Nacional was used, complemented with a touch of Touriga Franca to compose the lot.

Description

A deep ruby colored wine, it reveals great aromatic intensity with a predominance of black fruits with elegant floral and spice notes, evidenced by the presence of its key grape variety, Touriga Nacional. Balsamic nuances with superior quality and very well integrated wood. In the mouth it reveals structure, balance, elegance and freshness with silky texture tannins and a good concentration of fruit. Good acidity, fresh, long and persistent finish. Ideal to accompany roasts, red meat dishes, game and cheese. Cerro das Mouras Grande Escolha 2015 has an excellent aging potential.

Vinification

Reception for manual choice carpet. Destemming and crushing; 12 hours of pre-fermentative maceration at 34ºC to maximize the work of endogenous enzymes, using selected yeasts. Alcoholic fermentation for a minimum of 8 days with temperature control; and malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels.
